Sadie Amara Calvano hails from America and is known for playing Violet Plunkett, in CBS the sitcom Mom. Calvano is from California, and initially was intrigued by competitive gymnastics. She later chose to become an actor. In 2010 she made her debut on screen in a scene from the CBS series 'NCIS.' The following year her debut big screen appearance was in the biographical thriller production J Edgar. Through the years, she firmly established herself among the best young actors working today. For her performance in 'NCIS', she was awarded a Young Artist Award for Best Performance on a Television Series - Guest Starring Young Actress 11-15 in 2011. In 2013, her performance as a special guest on Disney XD's comedy "Kickin' It' was nominated again for an award called a Young Artist Award. Calvano was a key character in "Mom", the series the first three seasons of, as well as making appearances on several episodes of Season 4. Calvano's performance in the role of a rising star on Mom was recognized with an award called the Gracie Allen Award, which is presented to women who are outstanding actors.
