Kellie Martin is an American TV and film actress best known for her roles in the roles of Christy Huddleston in the 'period drama' series "Christy The 'Christy'' series, Rebecca Thatcher in the Family drama 'Life Goes on The Life Goes On', and Lucy Knight in the medical drama 'ER'. In addition, she is well-known as the lead in the Hailey Dean Mystery television series. Martin, the daughter of a department store buyer and kindergarten teacher, started her career in acting when she was seven. Her aunt, who was the nanny of Michael Landon's kids helped Martin to get her a character in the 1982 series "Father Murphy". When she graduated of Yale University she began to pursue acting with a seriousness and landed roles on the small and large screen. Martin is also an artist and photographer. Martin is the mother of two and the spokesperson of Lupus. After her 19 year old sister's passing Martin has been working to raise awareness about Lupus and its symptoms.
